Prizmatix High Power Fiber Coupled Five LED Light Source

  • FC5-LED 5 Wavelengths Fiber Coupled LED Light Source


The Prizmatix FC5-LED light source is a compact fiber-coupled LED system consisting of 5 independent high power LEDs at specified wavelengths, with an SMA fiber connector for each one. 

This light source is available in a wide range of wavelengths (365nm- 940nm). Its advanced low noise LED driver electronics support CW and fast TTL pulsing. A ten turn potentiometer enables precise power adjustment and the analog input (0-5 Vdc) enables control of output power from a computer via a digital to analog (D/A) converter. There is an option for built-in USB interface for use with LabView, Matlab, and other software that can send HyperTerminal commands.

With power output of up to >220mW for each fiber, the FC5-LED is an excellent choice for a high power fiber coupled LED source.

Note: The power output of the FC-LEDs varies with the fiber characteristics. Larger core diameter and higher NA will increase power output.  See Power Output Table.

Custom fiber bundles for combining outputs into one output available on request.

When multiple wavelengths in a single fiber are needed, the Prizmatix Mic-LED with our Beam Combiner module and Fiber Coupler are recommended. (See Relevant Add-Ons)
For higher power requirements Prizmatix Ultra High Power or Optogenetics LEDs are recommended.
